So happy to be going back to school.
On a happier note...
I did go to my favorite hole-in-the-wall eatery,
OTAFUKU
Otafuku is part of the T.I.C. group restaurants and I care because my favorite restaurant Soba-Ya is too. Loves Soba-Ya.
I ordered the takoyaki with cheese filling topped with katsuobushi (dried bonito flakes), aonori (green seaweed powder), takoyaki sauce, and Japanese mayonnaise. They look like larger munchkins, but are way more tasty than any doughnut I've ever had. With the takoyaki sauce and Japanese mayo liberally applied, the round balls are quite savory. You must get it freshly made and if yo bonito flakes ain't undulating, then it ain't hot enough!
You can have all this for the price of $4. Yum.
